5 Minute Broccoli Side Dish

I LOVE broccoli.  It’s healthy, tasty, & cheap, and it’s super easy to make! I love roasting broccoli in the oven or sautéing it on the stove, but when I’m in a pinch for time the microwave is my best friend!5 Minute Broccoli Recipe

To make this delicious broccoli simply follow these 4 easy steps:

  1. Cut the florets off the stem and wash thoroughly.
  2. Place in a microwave safe casserole dish with a 1/2 cup of water.
  3. Microwave covered for 4 minutes (stirring half way through).
  4. Drain the excess water and toss with butter, salt, pepper, chili flakes, and grated parmesan cheese (optional).

Healthy cooking doesn’t have to take long or taste bad. Just a small pat of butter adds a ton of flavor with minimal amounts of fat and calories.
