DIY Thread Organizer

Do you have a disorganized sewing basket filled with tangled spools of thread? I sure did until I made this awesome DIY Thread Organizer! DIY Thread Holder

The instructions are pretty self explanatory -all you need is a piece of wood, nails, and a hammer. I chose a circular pine piece I found at Lowes for only $8. You can easily paint or stain the wood before you nail into it, but I chose a natural coffee stain (because I didn’t want to wait for stain & polyurethane to dry)!

DIY Coffee Wood Stain

To stain with coffee simply apply multiple coats with a paper towel, allowing the wood to dry for 10 minutes between each coat. After the wood is the color you’re looking for simply hammer in the nails in a grid pattern and arrange your thread.

Voila – organization and style! Enjoy!
